During the next decade I hope to...
In 2009 we will be launching the Metal Clay Academy which will become a world leading centre for excellence.
In the next 3 years I would like to expand MCSJ to become a residential school. There will be increased workshop space, a gallery, sculpture garden, eco-housing and more.
So by the end of the decade I hope to be looking back on a fantastic adventure filled with great people, success, health and creativity.
Of course by then, I will be looking forward to making the next 10 year plan!
Three things I want to do before I die are
- See the Northern Lights
- Design and build an amazing house
- Continue following my passion wherever it may lead
If I had a motto in life it would be...
If you can conceive it, you can achieve it.
What I like about being involved with MCSJ
Starting the jewellery school was a big gamble but I like a bit of a risk.
It is exciting and stimulating to see the school growing steadily well and there is still so much more to come. My favourite aspects of running the school are the fantastic people I get to meet-students, tutors, luminaries, artists: I have been incredibly lucky. It seems like the Universe brings along just the right people at the right time and a large part of our continued success is due to this. The other thing I really like is the sense that I am doing exactly what I am supposed to be doing and that this will be an evolving adventure.
